How these lyrics were written
Everything on this page was written by a person in the realyrics editor and published from their own account. There is no scraped catalogue behind this hub and no import from anywhere else: a song appears here only when its author decides the draft is finished and makes it public. What you are reading is a working record of what songwriters actually produce when the tools of the craft are in front of them β opening verses, finished songs, choruses that exist only because a rhyme turned up at the right moment.
What the editor does while you write
realyrics marks the stressed syllable of every word as you type. That matters most in Russian and Ukrainian, where stress is not fixed by position and a line that scans cleanly on paper can collapse the moment it is sung. The syllable grid lays the same line across a beat grid, so you can see which word lands on the downbeat and drag it onto another one by hand. Rhyme search ranks candidates by a Proximity score, and the refinement pass re-checks them against a corpus, so a technically valid rhyme nobody would ever sing drops out of the list.
Reading a published lyric
Open any title to read the full text as its author left it: line breaks, spacing and any section markers typed into the draft are preserved exactly, because the published page shows the words and nothing else. Beside the text you get the publication date, the language the song was written in where the author set one, and a link to that author's own page. This hub shows up to fifty published lyrics at a time, so it stays a page you can read to the end rather than an endless feed.
Three languages, one collection
English, Russian and Ukrainian lyrics sit in the same collection instead of in three separate catalogues, and the hub is served at /songs/, /ru/songs/ and /uk/songs/ β one list, described in the language you are reading. Stress detection is the part that differs most between them: English verse can often be scanned by ear, while Russian and Ukrainian want the stressed syllable marked word by word before a line can be trusted on a beat.
Publishing is a choice, not a default. Most drafts in realyrics stay private, and nothing leaves an account until its owner decides to share it. The Authors hub collects these same songs by the people who wrote them, if you would rather follow one writer than a single track.
How the tools behind these lyrics work
Each guide below describes one control in the editor, written against the shipped app rather than a roadmap.
- The syllable grid β laying a line across a beat and moving a word onto a different one
- Rhyme search and the Proximity score β where the candidates come from
- Filtering rhymes by stress β the marks that decide whether a rhyme sits on the beat
- The realyrics blog β craft notes on lyrics, rhythm and flow
- Authors β the same songs, collected by the people who wrote them
